Conference theme:
We welcome consumer researchers from a broad scope of disciplines ranging from the humanities and social sciences to technology. The aim of the conference is a truly transdisciplinary gathering of researchers around the how of consumption: How is consumption made sense of in various settings? How are consumption and consumers captured in an ever-changing, fluid world? What are the peak theories and methods today and for tomorrow? And what about the senses of the consumers themselves?
The conference will address the pathways of Nordic Consumer Research through a number of sessions. Read more about the sessions
Please choose which session you want to contribute too. If you feel more than one is suitable for your paper, range them. You, who do not feel any session is suitable for your paper, choose the Open Sessions.
Instructions: Proposals for Paper
If you are interested in presenting a paper at the conference, fill in the Paper abstract form and send it to nccr2012@cfk.gu.se no later than November 27, 2011.
The Paper abstract form includes:
• Paper Title
• Author/s
• Affiliation
• Session choice
• 450-500 words abstract
• Abstract references
• Key words

Notification of acceptance of the abstracts will be made December 19 (at the latest).
All accepted paper abstracts will be presented in the conference program.
The abstracts can be developed either into extended abstracts or into full papers that represent the completed work of their authors. Deadline for both is February 1, 2012. It is mandatory that all accepted papers and extended abstracts will be presented by an author at the conference. The extended abstract should provide a summary of the paper, including conceptualization, method, and major findings and must not exceed 750-1000 words, single-spaced. The body of the full paper must not exceed 20 double-spaced pages in total length, including abstract, all tables, figures, notes, and references using a font no smaller than 12 points. More detailed writing guidelines and information will be available on the website www.cfk.gu.se/nccr2012 later on. Full papers will be published in a conference publication. Papers as well as presentations at the conference must be in English.

The doctoral seminar May 29-30 will be arranged and realized by Johanna Moisander, Professor of Communication, Aalto University, School of Economics, Helsinki, Finland. More information will follow on the website shortly.
